The Right Stuff is a potent blend of natural meals – kelp, fish, crab and lobster, and alfalfa, along with additional microorganisms. Li’l Buddies microbiology: Naturally occurring microorganisms known for their ability to convert organic matter into high quality humus containing minerals and nutrients useable by the plant.
The Right Stuff’s organic meals form a matrix that sustains the microorganisms. The microorganisms are what produce the minerals and nutrients that foster plant life. It all begins with healthy soil, which you cannot get with standard fertilizers. (Standard fertilizers only feed the plant, and then, only with specific, limited nutrients.)
The Right Stuff is a combination of soil conditioner and fertilizer. You can use it alone or use it in combination with MaineStream Organics’ other fertilizers and biostimulants (the liquid seaweed extracts called “Guarantee.”)
4.. What We Don’t Put In …
Manures, leather meal, bone meal, pesticides, biosolids. “Biosolid” and “litter” are just another way of saying “manure”. They are an inexpensive way to add organic material. But many people do not care to use them in their gardens and on their food crops. We have no way of knowing what the animals ate, the illnesses or latent diseases they had, etc., so we don’t use manures. Nor do we use bonemeal or bloodmeal which may come from animals with suspect health. Leather meal has been associated with environmental contaminants, so we don’t use that either. We probably don’t need to tell you the down-side of pesticides, including recent research linking them to diseases such as Parkinson’s and cancer. We never use pesticides.
5. Easy and Pleasant to Use
Non-dusty, homogenous particles. Other organic-based fertilizers are blended. Ours are agglomerated so that all the rich ingredients are contained in each and every particle. There’s no separation–a problem in most other fertilizers--and very little dust.
When To Use The Right Stuff
When your soil is poor – not fertile, not “friable” (no real crumb structure), too sandy, too clayey, or with no visible signs of earthworms or soil organisms – your garden or lawn will benefit from applications of The Right Stuff.
Frequently, in new subdivisions, the topsoil that existed prior to your home being built was removed and you are left with infertile dirt which is not a suitable medium to grow gardens, lawns or landscapes. That’s a perfect time for The Right Stuff.
Other situations are when the land has been over-used. The soil is depleted and needs organic matter to repair and rebuild itself. You can use it alone or use The Right Stuff in combination with MaineStream Organics’ other fertilizers and biostimulants (the liquid seaweed extracts called “Guarantee.”)
Avid rose growers like to use it to invigorate the soil; as do other gardeners who want to see the best growth more quickly and sustained through the season.
