The Best Organic Ingredients in the Best Formulation
Seaplants - Our university-tested kelp meal increases soil nutrient and moisture holding capacity and enhances nutrient uptake. It stimulates beneficial soil microorganisms. Our proprietary seaplant extract contributes natural hormones, minerals, amino acids and vitamins that produce stronger, more vibrant plants and help them resist stress.
Fish Meal - Nature’s most potent natural fertilizer is high in nitrogen to help establish plants and boost growth. It also contains phosphorus and potash.
Alfalfa - Contains nitrogen and triconatol—a natural fatty acid that stimulates growth—as well as trace minerals.
Crab, Shrimp and Lobster Meals - Natural sources of nitrogen, calcium and chitin. Calcium improves soil structure and enhances root and cell-wall development. Chitin helps texturize the soil and encourages the growth of organisms that inhibit harmful nematodes.

Agglomerated Particles–Not Just Blended
Other organic-based products are merely blended. Since their ingredients have different bulk densities, they tend to separate. Grand Prize’s ingredients are combined with a unique, mineral-rich binder, then processed into uniform particles that are easy to apply.
Non-dusty, Consistent
Other products are dusty because their ingredients separate. Not only is dust irritating and messy, but you never really know which ingredients you are applying because there is no uniformity within the bag. Grand Prize is always consistent and non-dusty because it is agglomerated into homogenous particles that contain each ingredient. So, it’s convenient, easy to use, and predictable. That means the plants you fertilize from the top of the Grand Prize bag get the same nutrients as the plants you fertilize from the bottom of the bag.
Environmentally Friendly
Use of high-analysis chemical fertilizers can lead to environmental degradation because of nutrient (e.g., nitrate) leaching which can contaminate groundwater and algify lakes and rivers. Grand Prize’s ingredients are natural meals which are broken down by soil microorganisms. This dramatically reduces nutrient run-off and leaching, enhances the soil (and ultimately the plants) and also increases the plant’s absorption of other nutrients. Grand Prize contains a small amount of synthetic fertilizer to give your gardens a quick boost, but not enough to leach into soils or cause groundwater contamination and algae blooms.
